A Day in the Life of Ugandan School Children

6:00 am: Wake up 
6:15 am: Chores (feeding livestock and cleaning the house)
6:45 am: Breakfast (if available) 
7:00 am: Walk to school (For most children school is an hour away)
8:00 am: Study hall
8:30 am – 10:30 am: Class (Classes are 30 – 45 minutes)
10:30 am: Break 
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Class

1:00 pm: Lunch (first meal for some students)
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Class 
4:00 pm: Gym class
 

5:00 pm: Walk home
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Homework
7:00pm – 9:00 pm: Chores (hauling water (30 minute walk), collecting firewood, doing laundry and helping cook dinner)
9:00 pm: Dinner
10:00 pm: Bedtime
